Wilderness Rainforest, World Heritage
Tasmania/lutruwita is home to both the second largest temperate rainforest and the tallest flowering trees in the world.
We have a number of endemic plant species that characterise our forests and many more that closely tie back to the Gondwanan era. The rainforests feel prehistoric and the eucalyptus canopies command respect. They both support hugely biodiverse worlds.
The rivers provide passages through these ancient worlds.
