I’ve camped in some picturesque locations during my travels. I came across a number of photos showing this whilst sorting photos for the rest of this site. So here they are all together.
I do want to reiterate the importance of always putting nature first, finding a suitably hardened campsite and the upmost importance of leaving no trace, not interfering with other people’s experience and playing by the rules!

If you’re interested in the tents
- The green tent – my original tent and still my go to for all conditions is a Hilleberg Nallo 2.
- The light grey one I first got as I wanted something a bit lighter for my Scandinavia trip and I’m very impressed with it is a Tarptent Moment DW.
- The yellow one is my partner’s which I’ve been using more in recent times because freestanding is always a versatile pick. It’s a Oneplanet Goondie 2.
- If the conditions are right sometimes I’ll just use a Bivy and/or tarp combination.
